Fisher 34
Sinds de introductie van de Fisher 34 in 1978, zijn er inmiddels meer dan 100 gebouwd. De 34 is gebouwd met alle traditionele opties en eigenschappen waar de Fisher om bekend staat. Gedurende de jaren is het originele ontwerp geëvolueerd in de MK III, welke in 1995 werd geïntroduceerd. Standaard is de 34 kitch getuigd maar er is een optionele sloeptuigage beschikbaar. Dit geeft de mogelijkheid tot de keuze van twee , naar de kuip toe, openslaande deuren. Hierdoor ontstaat, net als bij de 31 één integrale ruimte tussen kuip en stuurhuis.
De 34 heeft ruimte voor 6 slaapplaatsen. Twee comfortabele bedden in de punt en een eigenaarshut, volgens een heel slim concept, onder het stuurhuis. De dinette is om te bouwen tot een ruim tweepersoonsbed. De ongekende ruime kajuit is aan stuurboord voorzien van een grote keuken met voldoende bergruimte, koelbox en tweepits gasfornuis (MK III). De oudere versies zijn voorzien van een kleine hoekkeuken aan bakboord tegen het stuurhuis. Hierdoor is meer zitruimte gecreëerd ten opzichte van de MK III. De zithoek van de "oude " 34 is uitgevoerd met twee banken met rondlopende rugleuningen, hetgeen een ontzettende cozy uitstraling geeft. Zoals bij alle Fishers is het stuurhuis ook hier de meest ludieke plek aan boord. Met zijn ruime banken fungeert het stuurhuis zowel als comfortabel dekhuis als wel als een warme en veilige omgeving gedurende tochten in slecht weer of buiten het seizoen.
De natte cel, voorzien van douche, is geconstrueerd van makkelijk te onderhouden materialen.
De 34 zeilt geweldig, in feite beter dan veel conventionele jachten. Om ook zonder zeil comfortabel te kunnen cruisen is de 34 voorzien van een efficiënte 75 PK sterke motor.
Omdat de 34 in ruimte, sterkte, kracht en performance het beste van dit alles combineert, is het een bij uitstek geschikt schip voor kust en "blue water cruising".
Over 100 Fisher 34’s have been built since her introduction into the range in 1978. Built with all the virtues and traditional features of the original Fisher concept, the 34 has evolved in design over the years right up to the MK III which was introduced in 1995.
The ketch rig is standard but the sloop rig is an optional choice which enables double doors to open into the cockpit to create an ever more spacious ‘feel’. The 34 can sleep up to 6 comfortably with a double forecabin, and double aft quarter cabin set under the wheelhouse.
Then the dinette/seating area converts to a double berth for additional space if required. The saloon area is truly spacious with a large galley on the starboard side with plenty of O stowage, ice box and two burner cooker. The wheelhouse, as with all Fishers is the most distinctive feature of the 34.
With generous seating, it doubles as a comfortable deck saloon whilst providing a safe and warm environment to sail in poor weather or out of season. Aft and to port is a spacious heads compartment with shower, all designed for ‘easy care’. Under sail, the 34 handles beautifully, better in fact than many ‘conventional’ yachts but when power is needed there’s more than sufficient in the 75 h.p. engine.
The 34 combines the best of everything in space, strength, performance and power and is the ideal mid-range yacht for coastal or blue water cruising.
